3. What
is a Proctor and why do I need one?
A proctor is someone who will administer all exams that
you take with Limestone College.
A proctor must have a 4 year degree,
a valid email address, and should
not be a friend or relative to the
student. The proctor is responsible
for an adequate testing environment. The
proctor must be in close vicinity to the
student as he/she must be present while
the student is taking exams. The meeting can be anywhere
as agreed by the proctor and the student (proctor's home,
student's home, work place, etc) as
long as there is a computer with Internet access.
· The
form needs to be submitted by the
second week of class. You and your proctor will receive an email once the application has
been approved. Once you have the Proctor Application form on file, there will be no need to submit another form unless you change
proctors. A student can only have
one proctor at any given time.
· The
proctor will receive passwords for the
online tests by email from your instructors. We do not send out the passwords. You must request from your instructor
that the
passwords be sent to your proctor.
· For all proctor questions, please
email proctor@limestone.edu.

4. Who
is my Academic Advisor?
A Student is assigned to an
Academic Advisor based on Site Location and Major. If you are a Classroom Student (take most of
your classes in the Classroom
setting), you should contact your
Area Coordinator. If you are an Online
Student, please check this listing for contact information: http://www.limestonevirtualcampus.net/Extended_Campus_Staff_Contact_List.htm.
5. Can I take 3
courses during one Term? / How do I request an
overload?
Extended Campus maintaining a “B”
average or better may be permitted to take more than one course in a scheduled
term and may be permitted to take up to 24 semester hours in the fall semester
and 30 semester hours in the spring semester. Students wishing to be enrolled
in more than one Extended Campus classroom course or more than two Extended
Campus Internet courses at any one time must receive permission from the Vice
President for Academic Affairs or Academic Dean.
Extended Campus Students with a
GPA of 3.0 or above who have received written permission from the Academic Dean
for an overload will be allowed to take one of the following:
- Two Internet courses and one classroom course, OR
- Three internet courses, OR
- Two overlapping classroom courses (such as regularly
scheduled class and “modified” schedule class).
Students must contact their
Academic Advisor and should not
contact the Academic Dean directly.
6. What
is a Coordinated Study?
A Coordinated study may be
offered to an individual junior or senior student by a full-time Limestone College faculty member when the
student’s special circumstances do not allow enrollment in a classroom or
internet course. The coordinated
study course requires individual meetings between the
faculty member and the student on a
weekly basis. Coordinated study courses must last a minimum of two months and consist of at least eight
(8) meetings between faculty and student. A student is limited to two (2)
coordinated study courses. A Coordinated study course may not be taken to
repeat a course in which a student has
received a low grade. Follow these
steps in order to request a Coordinated Study:
1.
A student must submit a written application for Coordinated Study on the appropriate form available in the Registrar’s Office or the
Extended Campus Office.
2. Because coordinated study courses require a significant
commitment of the faculty member’s
time, these course must be approved
by the supervising faculty member, the department chair,
the division chair,
and the academic dean.
3. A student has
one week from the time the Coordinated Study materials are distributed or
mailed to withdraw from a
Coordinated Study with penalty.
4. During the
semester of expected graduation, a Coordinated Study application must be
received by the Registrar’s Office
or the Extended Campus for the Fall semester by September 30th
and for the Spring semester February 28th. Graduating seniors must complete all work for Coordinated
Study courses two weeks prior to the
date of graduation.
8. What
do I do if I’m having problems
logging into Campus Web?
If you are having problems with
Campus Web you will need to contact the
Registrar’s Office as we do not handle Campus Web.
Please email Registrar@limestone.edu
or call 1.800.795.7151, ext. 8368.
9. How do I change my address?
How do I change my major?
How do I request an
official transcript from Limestone
College?
How do I Apply for
Graduation?
The
Registrar’s Office handles all of these
requests. You may access the Registrar’s
website and forms by going to www.limestone.edu
, select “Current Students” on the
R-hand side of the screen, and then
select “Registrar”.
